ANIMAR - Curtas Metragens CRL's Educational Service has organized a series of long-term workshops every year as part of its ongoing work with schools in the region. These initiatives provide students and their teachers with contact with various tools in the field of cinema, covering different age groups, from 3 to 18 years old.

This week saw the start of the long-duration workshop, part of the ANIMAR 19 programme, led by the directors Miguel Lima and Carolina Bonzinho, which will take place at the Casa da Criança da Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Vila do Conde.

The next workshops are scheduled for the following dates:

• Wednesday, Jan 31st: Start of the Long Term Workshop with director Helena Estrela - José Régio Secondary School (Vila do Conde)

• Friday, Feb 2nd: Start of the Long Term Workshop with director Tânia Dinis - Cego do Maio Primary School (Póvoa de Varzim)

These workshops cover different types of film techniques, both in the field of animation, documentary and even film.
